Lily Hoffman is the Associate Director of Programs at Habitat for Humanity International, her team includes the Advancing Black Homeownership Initiative, Neighborhood Revitalization (Community Development) and Health and Housing programs. Lily works to support the Habitat network in implementing strategies that improve racial, health, and housing equity. She has a masters degree in public health and juvenile justice and previously served as the Founding Director of Young Adult Services, a division within New York City’s (NYC) public health department that provided support and holistic interventions for young adults incarcerated in NYC adult jails. She spent five years advising the United States Agency for International Development on juvenile justice reform in the Eastern Caribbean, to inform federally funded reform efforts. While working for NYC’s largest public hospital, Lily co-created and led an effort to integrate emergency department treatment and no-barrier housing for patients with severe alcohol use disorders, frequent emergency room use, and who were living on the streets in New York City.
