Courtney Moriarta is the Director for NYSERDA’s Single Family Residential portfolio of work. Ms. Moriarta oversees NYSERDA’s low and moderate income residential retrofit program, a statewide home energy audit program, and a market rate load reduction program cumulatively serving more than 20,000 homes annually. She leads strategy and implementation of NYSERDA’s Clean Energy Fund work supporting the 1-4 unit existing homes market focusing on innovative initiatives designed to promote and rapidly scale uptake of energy efficiency and clean energy for all New Yorkers and development of an implementation plan for New York’s Inflation Reduction Act Home Energy Rebate programs.
Ms. Moriarta previously provided consulting services to the U.S. Department of Energy supporting their residential programs and the Massachusetts Energy Efficiency Advisory Council supporting the Mass Save residential program portfolio. With three decades of experience in the residential energy efficiency and sustainability field, she is frequently called upon as a subject matter expert supporting standards development, program design, contractor support, and public policy matters. She currently serves on the Consortium for Energy Efficiency’s Program Advisory Council, holds dual bachelor’s degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and is a member of the American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers.
