Greg is Chief Strategy and Technology Officer and Founder of Performance Systems Development. He has been active in energy efficiency since 1979. In 1990, he designed and implemented a $12M utility pay-for-performance contract for affordable multifamily housing. Greg designed and managed the first Home Performance program in the country in 1995. He was a winner of the 2005 R&D 100 Award for the TREAT software, along with NREL and NYSERDA. In 2010 Greg received the Building Performance Institute's Lifetime Achievement Award. He was chair of the Efficiency First trade association, served on the RESNET board, was chair of Affordable Comfort Inc. and a board member of Home Performance Coalition. Greg was responsible for the initial development of the HPXML data standard. He currently works with cities and utilities on standardization to support data interoperability, simplified savings calculations, improvements in savings prediction accuracy, and the scaling of the energy efficiency industry.
