In this session, panelists will discuss non-energy impacts (NEI) and discuss the questions: WHY should we include NE benefits in WAP and other home improvement projects?  

WHO should be involved?  
WHAT are the potential metrics of quantifying?

Learning Objectives:

By attending this session, attendees will:
  • Understanding the Value of Non-energy Impacts (NEI): Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the concept of NEI in the context of home improvement projects and energy programs. Participants will explore the benefits of including NEI in WA and home improvement projects, focusing on environmental, health, economic, and societal factors
  • Identifying Key Stakeholders and Collaboration Strategies: Participants will learn who should be involved in implementing NEI, including key stakeholders from various sectors such as architecture, engineering, energy policy, energy economics, and environmental health. Participants will discuss and develop effective collaboration and coordination strategies to maximize positive NEI outcomes
  • Evaluating Metrics for Quantifying Non-energy Impacts: Participants will explore potential metrics for quantifying NEI in WA programs and home improvement projects. Participants will assess the challenges and opportunities associated with measuring NEI, considering both qualitative and quantitative approaches, and discuss how to adapt them to different project types and goals
