Senior Research Scientist
Center for Energy and Environment
Minneapolis, Minnesota
As a senior research scientist at the CEE, Josh primarily works on decarbonization via cold climate residential building electrification, with a specific focus on the intersection of high efficiency space heating, building envelopes, and future grid impacts. Josh has nineteen years research experience in the fields of heat and mass transfer, solar energy, energy efficiency, and building electrification. Prior to CEE, Josh spent time researching thermochemical storage cycles at ZAE Bayern outside Munich Germany and the Solar Energy Lab at the University of Minnesota. Josh obtained his master’s degree (2008) and PhD (2012) in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota.
