Jonathan is the Manager of Workforce Development at Walker-Miller Energy Services, where he oversees multiple Workforce Development programs in Michigan including the DTE Energy Efficiency Academy and Consumer Energy Clean Energy Workforce Development Training Program. Prior to Walker-Miller, Jonathan served as the Director of Workforce Development at Detroit Training Center where he led the workforce initiatives in writing, designing and implementation of Manufacturing, Construction and Transportation Skilled Trades Training Programs, alongside the City of Detroit and Mayors Workforce Development Board. Jonathan has over 10 years of Workforce Development, Program Management/Development, and Career and Technical Education. Jonathan currently serves as Co-Chair of the MPSC EWR Workforce Sub Committee where he is spearheading an effort to generate a statewide energy efficiency & electrification workforce Needs Assessment. Jonathan also sits on the MPSC's EWR Low Income Work Group and is the Vice-chair of the Michigan Energy Workforce Development Consortium’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee. Jonathan is devoted to breaking down barriers for underserved and marginalized communities, while empowering them to achieve success within the Clean-Energy workforce. He believes that while helping one person might not change the world, it could change the world for that one person!
