Linda Wigington provides indoor air quality and residential energy consulting services through her firm, Linda Wigington & Associates. She brings more than 45 years of building performance experience to her role as leader of the Pittsburgh, PA-based ROCIS (Reducing Outdoor Contaminants in Indoor Spaces) initiative (http://ROCIS.org), funded by The Heinz Endowments. Her focus is on low cost monitoring of air quality, and refining interventions that substantially reduce particle counts, whether they are from outdoor or indoor sources. To date, they have engaged 450 people in monitoring particles (0.5+ and 2.5+ µm), CO2, CO, and radon in their homes or workplaces for a four-week period. She is the founder of the Affordable Comfort Conference (now known as the Home Performance Conference) and has been associated with it since its inception in 1986. She served as director, deep energy reduction initiatives until May 2013. Linda has been a technical consultant for residential utility programs throughout the country. She has served as an advisor for Habitat for Humanity International's Green Team, the Editorial Board of Home Energy magazine, and founding member of the Passive House Institute U.S. (PHIUS) board of directors.
