Adam Romano, C.E.M. is the Senior Director of Workforce Development and Training at AEA. Since he joined the firm in 2008, Adam has provided research, consulting, and design services for commercial, multifamily, and residential buildings.
Adam has led many training and workforce development initiatives during his career which have been designed to support, advance, and expand the international talent pipeline for energy engineering and clean energy technology. The success of these initiatives has been in part due to Adam’s strong direct linkages with key industry stakeholders, which have driven the development of training offerings designed to address critical needs and competency gaps identified by employers and programs.
Due to his range of experience and expertise, Adam is frequently called upon to speak at local, national, and international conferences. He has delivered over 150 educational sessions on a wide variety of technical topics ranging from heat pump design and installation to high performance building construction. He has also been acknowledged by the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) for his accomplishments in the training and development of energy engineers by receiving the AEE Energy Professional Development Award (NY Chapter Award 2018, Region I Award 2019, International Award 2022).
