Meredith Hughes is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health and the Policy Director for the Pitt Healthy Home Lab. She earned her BA in Political Science and Philosophy from American University and a JD/MPH from the University of Pittsburgh. Her research focuses on Medicaid, home and community-based services (HCBS) waiver authorities, aging and disability, family caregivers, and long-term care. She has experience in policy and regulation at both the state and federal level from prior work in non-profits and consulting.
