Senior Building Science Specialist Slipstream Madison, Wisconsin
Understanding the science behind building performance is the first step in recognizing how the house operates as a system. We’ll begin by identifying a few and some of the most important basic principles related to air, heat, and moisture flow through a series of hands-on demonstrations. We’ll then apply what we discover to building performance and energy efficiency in buildings with a focus on comfort, durability, and energy savings. By understanding the principles that not only define building performance, but also provide the basis for energy auditing and the “what and why” of weatherization work, we gain or reinforce the knowledge needed to better communicate, educated and support our customers while improving the homes they live in.
