Join this engaging session to learn how IREC and its partners are working to develop effective resources to support WAP staff recruitment through the Weatherization Assistance Program Enhancement & Innovation (WAP E&I) Project. Learn how the Green Workforce Connect platform provides job seekers with information about a career in Weatherization and access to potential employers across the country. Weatherization employers also have access to vetted materials and templates to aid in the recruitment process. Discover firsthand the valuable insights gained and lessons learned during the pilot phase along with emerging innovative strategies to increase successful recruitment of a new generation of diverse home performance professionals. Through this interactive experience, we’ll exchange ideas and share recruitment experiences.

Learning Objectives:

By attending this session, attendees will:
  • Examine the IREC WAP E&I project goals and significance of WAP recruitment initiatives, unraveling the motivations behind these efforts
  • Explore the progress and outcomes achieved during the pilot phase of the project, drawing insights from real-world experiences and accomplishments
  • Learn about key lessons learned, challenges faced, and strategies devised to enhance the effectiveness of recruitment efforts
