You've Launched a Workforce Program. Now What?

Learn the nuts and bolts of how to effectively build partnerships to sustain a successful workforce program past the ‘initial launch’ phase. This session will provide lessons learned from an equity-focused workforce development program CEE launched with funding from Xcel Energy in 2022.  Hear from organizations and employers who partner with CEE as well as individuals who graduated from CEE’s workforce development program who are now in the home performance / energy efficiency sector. This session will provide opportunities to brainstorm concepts and strategies CEE has learned and apply them to your own context.

Learning Objectives:

By attending this session, attendees will:
  • Recognize key components needed to sustain a successful workforce development program past the initial launch phase
  • Identify strategies used to gain and build trust and strengthen partnerships among employer partners & CBOs
  • Synthesize and apply lessons learned from a utilities-funded workforce development program model in Minnesota to their own unique context and setting
